Join Us in Roso Games!

Are you interested in games and making them? Do you want to learn new skills and develop your own game? Join the Roso Games project and learn the basics of game development and coding. You don’t need any previous experience, just being motivated and engaged is enough.

In the project we study the basics of game programming, and then we get straight down to the business – making real games. At the same time, you can dive into the area of game development that you are interested in, such as game mechanics, visuals, soundscapes and game scripting. We’ll also get to grips with building interfaces and game experiences, as well as project management skills, not forgetting game jams and visits from game industry experts. Roso Games will reach its peak with a gamer release party in Helsinki in May 2025. 

Roso Games is led by Eetu Rantanen, Senior Game Designer and long-time game designer. Over the last 10 years he has been part of over 50 commercial game projects.

Who Can Apply for the Roso Games Project?

We are looking for people aged 18 to 35 who are interested in games and gaming. No previous experience in coding or game development is required, just a strong desire to learn new things, being part of the game development team and being willing to commit to the project.

The idea behind Roso Games is to open up new opportunities through the skills you learn. For example, you may be currently unemployed, out of school or looking for something interesting to do for a gap year. The lack of your own computer is not a barrier to participation – you can borrow one from Roso Games for the project.

The Roso Games follows the principles for a safer space.

How Do I Apply for the Roso Games Project?

The call for 2024-2025 project is now closed. The call for new projects will start in September 2025.
